I finished out my week with four more movies from the romance section.

The Ugly Truth - Better than I thought it’d be, but still a cliched chick flick.

Gigantic - Not as a good as I thought it’d be.  It felt like someone set out to make an indie movie by following the usual indie guide line and forgot to even put a real message in it.  It felt like a copy and paste of other movies.

Confessions of a Shopaholic - Maybe my second favorite of the eight.  The actual romance part of the movie was incredibly dull, but the rest was fun and I really enjoyed it.  Of course watching with my friend John Jameson probably helped.

The Time Traveller’s Wife - I had heard all sorts of bad things about this movie, but I enjoyed it.  At least, I thought it was a well spent two hours.

My finals are over, my boyfriend’s out of town, my car has broken down completely, and it’s been raining for the last three days.  As a result, I have raided the romance section of my local Red Box and watched four movies in the past couple days.  And I’ve just rented two more.

The Young Victoria - Absolutely beautiful.  I wish I could go back in time and even just be a maid in Buckingham palace so that I could see the beautiful rooms and fashions and gardens everyday.

Julie and Julia - The movie was what I expected - entertaining but nothing to go on about.  It did make me want to cook something delicious.

Did You Hear About the Morgans? - Also what I expected.  Cheesy romance that follows every convention of the romance movie.

Bright Star - My favorite of the four.  It was about Fanny Brawne and John Keats falling in love, named after a poem Keats wrote about her, and it was really the kind of film that a poet could love, that Keats himself could love.

Hulu is for all those shows I would never waste my time on if they were only on TV, but for some reason my standards lower when I sit down at my desk.

Maybe its because I can harvest my crops on farmville while watching the show?

I am so tired of hearing the following expressions of excitement or any version of them:

  • “I almost came!”
  • “I think I peed a little”
  • “I almost shit my pants”

What is wrong with you people? You seriously need to see a doctor if you can’t watch something you find interesting without expending bodily fluids.  And it’s really not something I want to know about.

Man Comics.  Racism, species-ism, and pure hatred over anyone capable of being punched?  Check it out.  If you’re awesome enough.

This gives me ideas of little gummy bears praying by their beds and night and telling other gummy bears that they have to wait until they’re married, and singing squeaky versions of “Our God is and Awesome God” in tiny little church dresses.  IDK, Christianity is so much cuter with gummy bears.

My favorite thing about Microsoft Word: The thesaurus option. I blank on words all the time when I’m writing, but good old Word always help me find the one I was looking for.

I wish I had a reverse dictionary sometimes though, where I could type in the definition and it would tell me what word I was trying to think of.

I found a great deal on some lunch supplies last weekend.  I got this and and two smaller containers for snacks, all for $3.  I can’t wait to try it out.

My mother called me last night to make dinner plans for the four nights I’ll be spending in Indiana.  Three weeks from now.  What I love most is that she called because her mother is already worrying over what to cook when we get there.  I’m just the same though.  Three generations of planners.
